Common questions
Is this real-money gambling?
No. Blackjack Counting Trainer is a simulator for entertainment and training. Chips are virtual, have no cash value and can't be bought or cashed out.
Can I use the app at a casino?
No. Using a phone or any device to count cards or decide plays at a casino game is a crime in several states, including a felony in Nevada. Practice with the app, then play from memory.
How do I see the running count and true count?
At the practice table, turn on the Show count switch in the top right of the table, or press C on a keyboard. Turn it off to practice keeping the count yourself.
Why did my count reset?
When the cut card comes out, the app finishes the hand and then asks you to shuffle. A new shoe starts every count over from its starting value.
I ran out of chips. What now?
Tap Refill chips (free) between hands. Refills are always free, and your session results carry over.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Practice/Test, Learn and reports already saved on your device work without a connection. Posting new reports and receiving updated ones need an internet connection.
A Current Conditions report is wrong or offensive. What can I do?
Tap Report on the post and choose a reason. It disappears from your view right away, and we review reported posts. Tap Block poster to hide everything from that person. Reports are posted by players and may not reflect the conditions present now, so always check the rules at the table.
How do I delete my data?
See Delete your data in our Privacy Policy.
Can I get a refund on a tip?
Tips are processed by Apple or Google. Request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or from Google in your Google Play order history. Tips are non-refundable except as required by law or the store's own refund policy.
Where can I get help with problem gambling?
The National Problem Gambling Helpline is free, confidential and available 24/7: call or text 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738).
